List of Glamping things to bring

Firstly we hope that you will not need to bring a lot. Glamping by nature is about being able to take the hastle out of having to load up the car full of gear!!

We hope we have thought of everything you may need but if not we always say just ask and we hope we can oblige.

SUGGESTED LIST OF THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU OK!
Good torch or camping lantern
Tea lights …look great outside in the evening
Wellies or waterproof shoes(the grass is very wet in the morning and paths around the Ponds are muddy…they do dry up too!)
Slippers or easy to slip on shoes for inside the accomodation.
Charcoal for BBQ,firelighters and matches.

Own logs (or we supply them £6 a box)
Food and drink…there will be coffee, tea and sugar, available.

We are off the grid, so solar energy and huge amounts of laundry can be tricky. So we often ask guests if they can bring their own towels and covered duvet or sleeping bags, plus an extra blanket for chilly nights. We always supply a clean bottom sheet and covered pillows.

This way we also keep our overall fees reasonable, but we can make the bed up for an extra fee of £5. We can provide towels and bedding for overseas visitors for £8.

The Safari Caravans

We are not taking any more bookings this year for the little caravan, for a while it has become Roz’s crafting space.

Roz teaches free Crochet for Beginners, please give her a call if you are interested.

However next year………2019>>>>>>>

IMG_4031New for 2018 is the refurbished 1974 vintage Safari Caravan.

You will have your own private space , you will be able to sit out on the lawn, relax or have afternoon tea in style.

This is a vintage caravan is 44 years old. To allow folks to stay we have created a low impact deal to preserve the caravan. It has been lovingly restored and refurbished to suit those wanting to relax and visit the area.

To give it the tlc it deserves we are not offering self catering. We can recommend local eating places.

We have called her MARILYN. When we brought her home the inside was very scruffy. There were old posters on the wall from the seventies. In the top corner we have left a small pin up poster of  Marilyn Monro, hense our tribute to Norma Jean.

For those wanting to see something of Shropshire.

After checking out there are numerous places of interest to visit before you leave. To the north there is the walled town of Chester and not far west there are the Welsh Mountains, Llangollen and the famous Telford Aquaduct. The area of outstanding beauty around the South Shropshire Hills has some stunning walking trails and the historical towns of Shrewsbury, Ludow and Bishops Castle. For those interested in museums there is plenty to see around Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale. We can point you in any direction for an enjoyable day of discovering the area. There are so many options!

Featured Safari Caravan.Marilyn?

Unfortunately the little caravan is no longer available as we have other plans for her on our smallholding. very sorry.

Original Crochet Designs. Ramblings and Satire about Crochet. I have been hesitant to create a blog as personally I don’t know if it is for me or not. It is the obvious next step for someone who designs to have one, but not everything is sunshine and rainbows. I will see how it goes and if I find anyone raining on my parade (due to this public platform), then I guess I will cut and run. This blog is for my crochet and so for those ‘Storm clouds’ who hover in the background waiting to pounce, I say go wreck your havoc on someone else for a change! What you won’t find here is perfect Grammar and Spelling. So if you happen to be a Grammar and Spelling Freak, then move along. And if you happen to enjoy my post, please give it a like and follow my blog. Stalkers are welcome. Enjoy reading about crochet! It is all RELATIVE!
